When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。15岁的Juan（Brandon López 饰）、Sara（Karen Martínez 饰）和 Samuel（Carlos Chajon 饰）逃离危地马拉，试图前往美国。当他们穿越墨西哥时，他们遇到了不会说一句西班牙语的印第安偷渡土著Chauk（Rodolfo Dominguez 饰）这几位少年憧憬在墨西哥边境的那一头过上更好的生活，但很快他们就发现事实并非如此。。
