地处重庆市边界的巫溪县白马村，千百年来倚靠青山绿树，时间恍如凝滞了一般，任凭外面的世界沧海桑田，这里却鲜少改变。当地农民生活贫苦，种地之外靠养猪养蚕赚取家用，年收入仅为两千元左右。2006年，西部大开发政策持续向祖国腹地推进，此时此刻，白马村也终于迎来变革的关键时刻。然而在这一过程中，许许多多亟待解决的现实问题制约着这项政策的有序推进。地方政府拟在当地建设巫溪新城，而祖祖辈辈生长于斯的农民不得不出卖土地，搬入楼房居住。关于补偿金、拆迁等问题困扰着政府和百姓双方。本片通过BBC工作者的视角，见证着短短六年间小小白马村的沧桑巨变……。It's Halloween 1965 in Hollywood and is also the last day that a drive in which the hang out of some youths who call themselves the Hollywood Knights will be open.
