《神秘失踪的船》讲述了解放战争时期，宋庆龄通过海外华侨将一大批军需药品秘密运往国内，然而船行至东海突然失踪。我党中央立即派人查找，国民党也出动海、陆、空军前往搜杏。原来药品船被舟山群岛海盗司令方大雨劫持。海盗们不知箱中是何物，方大雨欲请恋人海曼的父亲弄清这批货。当他赶到鱼乡小镇，发现海曼的父亲惨遭地方女匪首王八妹的毒手致伤，海曼也被绑架。方大雨将自己儿子托付法华寺方丈，只身回到岛屿。我党特派员鲁平化装成郎中，走街串巷打昕失踪船只的下落．不幸落入匪手。侦察员小郭巧妙地救出鲁半和海曼一同找方大雨。狡诈的王八妹派人暗中跟踪。万大雨感谢鲁平他们救了海曼，却始终不提归还药品的事。尾随而来的王八妹与国民党官员朱天龙对方大雨软硬兼施，欲夺药品，骑虎难下的方大雨只好趁黑夜率众离岛。老谋深算的朱天龙料定方大雨会携子而逃，于是在法华寺设下伏兵将方大雨擒获，欲将他慢慢沉入海底。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely.
