1959年夏季近尾的时候，台湾中南一带发生了六十年未遇的大灾难，称之为八七水灾，受灾人数30多万，受灾地区堤防溃决，田园损毁，受灾人民在生活的压力下，不得不向北部的卫星城市迁移，他们憨厚、朴实、刻苦、耐劳、正直。主人公一家人就是他们中的一员，他们点点滴滴的生活写照成为了历史洪流中的沧海一粟。。A group of students who are participating in a university's summer science camp are drawn into an incredible quagmire of conflicts, ranging from the relatively simple conflict between an engaging and forthright young teacher and his older manipulative colleague, to a contest pitting political correctness against free scientific inquiry.
