CW宣布开发《德州巡警 Walker》衍生剧《德州巡警：独立 Walker: Independence》，由Jared Padalecki﹑ Anna Fricke及Seamus Fahey负责。这部剧背景在1800年代后期，讲述Abby Walker的故事，她是位富裕的波士顿人，丈夫在前往西部的途中被杀害；在寻求复仇时她认识了流氓Hoyt Rawlins，两人因而一起来到独立镇，这儿充满想摆脱过去并追逐梦想的人，而主角们将会为这处带来改革。。剧中以居住在北京的三家人为主要发展：代表殷实中坚份子的姚思远一家、代表清流的曾文璞一家、代表腐败的牛思道一家。于此大时代动荡之际，三家人见证了中国人从封建到民主的过程，个人或被时代洪流吞没、或与时代俱进成就个人修为，当时移境迁，蓦然回首，方觉悟近四十年一场京华梦，不过浮云苍狗和过眼烟云，真正留驻心中的还是亘古不变的人间之爱。。Finding herself the victim of a violent monster attack, Jane launches a vigilante campaign to hunt the beast that tried to kill her.
